Working Location Policy

Dec 9, 2024

Outlier is available in specific locations. Account registrations are not accepted from all locations. Projects may have location limitations, requiring contributors from specific states, regions, or countries. Location also helps us determine which tax forms to provide you.

During the onboarding process, you may be required to verify your identity and location by providing a government issued ID and other personal information to ensure you are located in a location where Outlier operates and where projects are available. Once completed, the location will be assigned as your Primary Location. You may only work on the platform from your Primary Location.

If you relocate to another country, or, within the United States, to another state, please contact our support center to have your Primary Location updated by providing a valid government ID issued by the new location. If you travel internationally, you may request temporary permission to work from another eligible country by submitting a Travel Request from your contributor dashboard.

If you attempt to work outside of your Primary Location or do not update it upon relocation, your account may be paused pending verification of the new Primary Location. If you fail the verification and onboarding process and believe there may have been an error, please contact our support team.
