This feature gives contributors more visibility and control over their workflow by offering a live hub where you can see open opportunities, review project requirements, and choose work that aligns with your background.

The Outlier Marketplace is designed for professionals who value choice. We know our contributors bring specific skills and have varying schedules. Rather than relying solely on automatic project matching, the Marketplace allows contributors to take a more active role in discovering opportunities.

When you select projects that match your background, such as technical coding, creative writing, logical reasoning, language translation, or something else entirely, the quality of the work improves. By putting you in the driver’s seat, we ensure that the tasks you handle are the ones you are most qualified and motivated to complete.

• Low-friction access: Your time should be spent tasking, not navigating complex administrative hurdles. Joining a project through the Marketplace is straightforward and often requires only a few clicks to begin.

• Tailored opportunities: The Marketplace is personalized to you. You will see projects that match your currently verified skills. If you want to expand your options and see even more projects, you can screen for additional skills within the platform to unlock new areas of work.

• Managing your workflow: AI projects move through cycles based on customer demand, which means there may be periods of downtime. The Marketplace is your best tool for navigating these shifts. It allows you to see what else is available in real-time so you can find your next opportunity as soon as it becomes available.

Getting started

If you are a current contributor, you can access the Marketplace tab on your Outlier dashboard if it’s available to you. While the Marketplace is now live for most contributors, we are continuing to roll it out in phases to ensure a smooth experience for everyone.

If you don’t yet see the Marketplace on your dashboard, there’s no action needed on your end. Access is expanding over time, and we’re actively working to make it available to more contributors.

Our contributor community is central to how Outlier grows, and the Marketplace is one step in making that experience clearer and more empowering.
