About the Project
Outlier is one of the world’s largest expert platforms, connecting a network of over 700,000 MAs, PhDs, and college graduates worldwide to improve AI models by providing expert human feedback. Experts on Outlier work wherever and whenever they work best. They are paid weekly based on work completed and gain real AI experience. For example, a number of Outlier experts were recently cited in a 2026 Nature publication.
Key Responsibilites
Case synthesis: Design and solve complex clinical scenarios to train AI in high-level diagnostic reasoning.
Expert peer review: Critique AI-generated reports for scientific rigor, ensuring every output meets the highest standards of clinical soundness.
Strategic optimization: Rank and refine model outputs, identifying subtle nuances in medical logic to turn raw data into sophisticated clinical insights.
Dynamic innovation: Adapt your cardiological expertise across various high-impact projects as the technology evolves.

Ideal Qualifications
Medical degree: MD, DO, MBBS, or equivalent (including residents/fellows) with a specialized focus in Cardiology.
Clinical experience: Hands-on experience in a healthcare setting; we prioritize practicing or recently practicing clinicians who understand the nuances of patient data.
Imaging expertise: Demonstrated mastery in interpreting and reporting on diagnostic imaging studies, specifically MRI and CT scans.
English proficiency: Fluent in reading and writing, with an editorial eye for detail and zero tolerance for clinical ambiguity.
Analytical rigor: The ability to dissect complex medical content for logical flow, scientific accuracy, and diagnostic soundness.

** Rates vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project need, and other factors. For example, higher rates may be offered to PhDs. For non-core work, such as during initial project onboarding or project overtime phases, lower rates apply. Additional incentives data is based on payments made in the past six months and is updated quarterly. Certain projects offer incentive payments. Please review the payment terms for each project.
