  • Customer Success Manager

    Oakland, CA

    You’ll be joining Outlier at a stage where you will have significant impact on the shape of our team and the success of our entire company going forward. The Customer Success team plays a highly visible and strategic role not just as client partners, but in bringing our customers’ voices back to the company. As we grow, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your career quickly.

    As an Customer Success Manager at Outlier, you will:

    • Own the relationship with some of Outlier’s largest accounts and executives, ensuring we meet and exceed expectations within complex client organizations
    • Become their trusted advisor and partner
    • Understand client business, and advocate for them to other teams
    • Manage many different projects at the same time, adjusting priorities and expectations as necessaryStrategize and own plans for account renewal and expansion
    • Be an Outlier product expert
    • Take a proactive role in building process and collaborating with your colleagues to improve how we work

    To be a great fit for the position, you have:

    • At least three years of client-facing experience working in a SAAS environment, ideally as a Customer Success Manager, Program Manager or Project Manager
    • Excellent communication skills across platforms (phone, video conference, email, live presentations)
    • Detail-orientation but an ability to zoom out to the big picture when needed
    • Experience translating between technical and business teams
    • High motivation and an ability to work both independently and in close team collaboration
    • An aptitude for technology, and are a quick study for new platforms
    • The ability to understand complex problems and creatively find and communicate solutions
    • Empathy and the ability to build trust with people of diverse backgrounds, up and down client organizations, geographies and teams

  • Business Development Representative

    Virginia Beach, VA

    Join our Business Development team at an early stage to be at the forefront of Artificial Intelligence adoption at some of the largest companies worldwide. You will be an evangelist for this new technology, introducing it to executives and decision makers to build excitement for Outlier.

    As a  Business Development Representative  at Outlier, you will:

    • Cultivate leads from marketing campaigns into sales meetings
    • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
    • Present our company to potential clients
    • Proactively seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers
    • Boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth
    • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives
    • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans

    To be a great fit for the position, you have:

    • Some experience in trying to obtain appointments or cold calling
    • Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts), Google Sheets and basic CRM skills
    • Understanding of sales performance metrics
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
    • Ability to deliver compelling reasons to join us for an initial prospect meeting

  • Sales Engineer

    Oakland , CA

    You will work directly with some of the world’s largest enterprises and organizations to connect their data to Outlier. Join our highly collaborative team and help us deliver the future of business intelligence to our customers!

    As a Sales Engineer at Outlier, you will:

    • Perform steps required to connect to customer data. Manually debug integrations with customer data, when necessary
    • Establish processes and organization to a challenging, interrupt-driven engagement where not everything will be in your control
    • Work closely with the customer team with setting up and configuration customer integrations
    • Communicate directly with customer teams about integration-related questions when needed

    To be a great fit for the position, you have:

    • Coded yourself as an individual contributor in the past few years
    • Experience administering SQL database systems, familiarity with modern cloud environments (e.g., AWS) a plus
    • Strong written and oral communication skills, especially around documenting procedures and processes
    • Excellent time management, task organization and prioritization skills

As the second member of CS in our east coast office, you will have significant impact on the shape of our team and the success of our entire company going forward. The Customer Success team plays a highly visible and strategic role not just as client partners, but in bringing our customers’ voices back to the company.     As an Customer Success Manager at Outlier, you will:

    • Understand our clients’ business, and coordinate across multiple internal and external teams to ensure we deliver value across a diverse client base
    • Own long-term relationships with clients, strategizing and owning the plan for renewals and expansion of both medium and large accounts
    • Manage and prioritize multiple moving pieces, keeping teams on-track while being flexible to changing priorities and realities
    • Be the Outlier product expert (but know when and where to ask for help)
    • Mentor team members who come after you, and take an active role in fostering team culture and building efficient processes

    To be a great fit for the position, you:

    • Are organized and can prioritize and multi-task to ensure a seamless client experience
    • Have at least three years of client-facing experience, ideally working in a SAAS environment in Customer Success
    • Are an excellent communicator across platforms (phone, video conference, email, live presentations, etc)
