It’s All Good News!
This week it was easy to find all positive stories. So, let’s start in Central America. Panama has seen a nice decrease in the number of newly confirmed cases. The country is now 24% below expected.
Also on the decline is Ukraine. In a week-over-week story, the country is 35% lower than expected.
Beside the Ukraine is Moldova, which is also seeing a decline in the number of newly confirmed cases. Last week, the country saw a 36% decline when compared to the previous week.
Neighboring Countries on the Decline
Neighboring Moldova is Romania, which saw a 30% decline weekly.
Bulgaria, which neighbors Romania, is also witnessing a decline in the number of weekly newly confirmed cases. Bulgaria is 45% lower than expected.
Dropping In the US
New York state is seeing a decline in the number of newly confirmed folks as a percentage of their population. The state is now 11% below expected and accounts for 9% of the cases confirmed in the US yesterday.
West Virginia has taken vaccinating its population seriously and is also seeing a slow spread of the Coronavirus. Currently, the state is 29% lower than expected.
Today, we’ll highlight one county that has seen a drop in the number of newly confirmed cases. Fresno County in Central California has seen a 16% decrease from expected.
Once a hotspot for the Coronavirus, California has seen less counties with newly confirmed cases at a 25% decrease, as compared to other states. The Golden State still accounts for 13% of the newly confirmed cases in the US.
When looking at the number of newly confirmed cases week-over-week, Minnesota has seen a substantial decline and is 25% below expected.
