States and Counties Trending Up
In this weekly Benchmark story, Florida is above expected by 23%. The state accounts for 6% of the newly confirmed cases of the Coronavirus.
Tarrant County in Texas sees a weekly increase in the number of newly confirmed cases. The county has a 16% increase over the expected amount when compared to a week ago.
Trending Down in States and Counties Too
Several counties in Pennsylvania are trending down for the number of newly confirmed cases, which is a great thing to see. Northampton and Montgomery counties are both down. This story shows Northampton is 45% down when compared with the previously expected figures. Montgomery county is 3% lower than expected and is not shown in the image.
More good news! Wisconsin, on a weekly basis, is seeing a decline in the number of newly confirmed cases. Wisconsin is now 27% below expected and accounts for only 1% of the cases confirmed in the US in this weekly story.
Cases Up in the UK and South Africa
As you’ve seen in the recent news, the UK has seen a weekly increase of 29%. Today the country moved to the highest Covid-19 alert level. Currently, the United Kingdom accounts for 8% of the world’s newly confirmed cases.
South Africa also sees an increase in the number of Coronavirus cases week over week. Currently, their incline is 191% over expected, and it accounts for 2% of the current newly confirmed cases.
Decreasing Cases in Serbia
Serbia also sees a decrease in the number of newly confirmed cases. The country has been declining since December 6th and is currently 9% below expected.
