Outlier, a pioneer in Automated Business Analysis, today announced the appointment of Doug Mitarotonda to Head of Analytics and Andrea Spillmann-Gajek to Head of Customer Success.
Doug Mitarotonda will lead the analytics team, helping customers better interpret, leverage, and immediately apply their insights to deliver positive business outcomes. Mitarotonda is a data analytics veteran, with over a decade of experience in domains such as sports and live entertainment, electric power industry, and climate change policy. In his role as the Head of Customer Development at Outlier over the last three years, he has worked side-by-side with customers to improve the timeliness and actionability of data analysis, pinpoint and address problems and hidden opportunities, and seamlessly manage integrations with dozens of cloud and on-premise data sets.
“Doug’s extensive knowledge and experience in both data analytics and customer development uniquely qualifies him to lead our data analytics team,” said Sean Byrnes, CEO and Co-Founder of Outlier. “No one is better at advising customers on how to apply Automated Business Analysis to streamline data analysis and interpretation in real-time, zero in on what’s important, and take action while there’s still an opportunity to affect a favorable outcome. In this newly created role, Doug will expand on his proven track record in Customer Success to deliver best-in-class data analytics capabilities across our customer base.”
Andrea Spillmann-Gajek is also joining the Outlier Executive team as the Head of Customer Success. Over the past decade, she has not only gained extensive experience working with Fortune 500 customers and government agencies, but also focused on driving user adoption and value across verticals ranging from mobile health in the developing world to large-scale enterprise SaaS. Most recently, Andrea scaled and led Customer Success at Captricity, as a member of the founding team and SVP of Customer Success.
“Andrea is a highly skilled and experienced customer success leader and will focus on scaling Outlier’s Customer Success program to meet our growing customers’ expanding needs for applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) to the analysis of data to find unexpected changes in their data quickly,” said Byrnes. “The breadth of her experience across verticals coupled with her deep expertise in innovating and scaling Customer Success programs positions her as a key player in driving our growth while executing on our commitment to customer excellence.”
